When i was first learning to draw, the first time i experimented with one point perspective was something great to me; it added such a sense of realism to artwork. Perhaps I personally find scenes with intense perspective angles visually appealing, or maybe it is simply the sense of openness and freedom that comes with a depth of space. Either way, I took these pictures of some areas in reality where you might find this form of space. 1. This is (or was) a river that runs very nearby the school, in fountain valley. It seems more like a canal nowdays, as the city was built around the river, it too became a member of the city. 2. Power lines in santa ana, near bristol street, on either side of a road 3. picture 3 i didn't take specifically for this class, it was from an album from a trip to hawaii i once took, but i added it because it really gives the sense of perspective i was trying to capture in this week's photographs.
